Made In America Series Vol. 3 – Vaughan Bassett

Proudly employing over 700 people in Galax, Virginia and Elkin, North Carolina, for over 97 years Vaughn-Bassett has had a commitment to preserve American craftsmanship, with a solid promise to use high-quality materials that have been responsibly obtained.
Vaughan-Bassett Furniture Company literally focuses on its American roots, manufacturing furniture from wood that has been harvested near their factories. Pine, oak, maple, cherry, ash, poplar, birch and beech are the primary species used in their furniture collections, and by sourcing lumber locally, greatly reducing their carbon footprint. But VB’s commitment to the environment doesn’t stop there. In conjunction with the Virginia Department of Forestry, they replant a new tree for every one they use; that’s over one million trees since 2007!

VB’s 700 skilled American craftsmen create a number of different styles and collections, ensuring there is something for everyone. One of the most popular is “Artisan & Post” which allows you to create your perfect bedroom and dining room furniture. Choose from classic or contemporary styles, whatever suits you best. Then customize it, choosing from several finishes, hardware options and wood selections available for each collection.
