MIKE DANIAL – STICKLEY CORPORATE HISTORIAN – THE ROADSHOW

A native of Syracuse, NY, Mike Danial began his career at the L.& J.G. Stickley Furniture Co. as a teenager, in 1974.  Mike’s great-uncle Vincenzo worked for Leopold Stickley in the 1940′s-1959.

Mike’s experience in the factory ranges throughout the Rough Mill, Fine Mill, Sanding, Cabinet Room, and Finishing and Restoration Departments.  In his 40 years at Stickley, he has seen the company grow from 26 employees in 1974 to the current employment – 1200.

Mike began selling Stickley to customers after giving them tours of the old factory.  Later, he managed the Customer Service Department.  In 1988, he became the Project Director of the Mission Oak Collection.

Currently, Mike is the Stickley Corporate Historian.  He travels throughout the country lecturing on Stickley Furniture and the Arts and Crafts Movement in America.  He is the Restoration Specialist for the Stickley Museum.

The Roadshow made its stop to our store recently, and our customers were delighted to partake in the Stickley history tales from Danial.  He was passionate and very knowledgeable.  If ever given the chance, be sure to visit the Stickley Museum…www.stickleymuseum.com
